What factors affect most of oil palm production in Malaysia and Indonesia?

There are many factors that effect the oil palm production, they are: oil palm seeds, oil palm planting area, Government incentives policy, Scientific management measures, scientific knowledge of oil palm planting and professional management team and so on. The detail introduction is as follows:
Oil palm production in Malaysia and Indonesia
1. Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB)
According to Malaysia Palm Oil Council, in Malaysia, oil palm trees are planted mainly of tenera variety, a hybrid between the dura and pisifera. Oil palm trees can survive and productive to produce fruit for up to 20 to 30 years, and will start fruting within 30 months after planting. Each ripe bunch is knownd so on as fresh fruit bunch (FFB). In the future, if we want to get more palm oil, we need to study more productive palm seeds.

2. Oil palm plantation area:
Area is one of the important factors on oil palm production. In the last two decades, the private sector played important role to drive for growth which is in the production and the research and development of palm oil. In 1980 to 2002, the planted area which is under privately-owned plantations firms had increased from 557659 hectares to 2,187,750 hectares. The largest part of these developments is being in the states of Sabah and Sarawak. But for the sustainable development of oil palm, we need a right land constraint.
