1 TPH Palm Oil Pressing Line Daily Output: FFB to CPO Yield Explained

FAQ / Chat on line / Give me a price / Date: October 23, 2026

The first month of any palm oil operation is spent on one uncomfortable question: how much oil will actually land in the tank at the end of the day? Getting a realistic daily output figure — one that reflects your actual fruit intake and the hours you can realistically run — is the difference between a plant that pays for itself and one that quietly sits idle.

Here is the figure we work from. A 1 TPH palm oil pressing line running 24 hours a day processes about 24 tonnes of fresh fruit bunches per day. At a typical oil extraction rate of around 19%, the palm oil yield is approximately 4.56 tonnes of crude palm oil per day — roughly 190 kg every hour. Actual OER varies with fruit quality, ripeness and sterilization performance.

Below we cover the two 1 TPH palm oil pressing line configurations Glory Oiltech (Henan Glory) supply — the simple type palm oil pressing line and the complete palm oil pressing line — so you can match the right machine to your fruit supply and your site.

Two 1 TPH Configurations: Simple Type vs Complete Palm Oil Pressing Line

The same 1 TPH nameplate covers two very different machines. Choosing the wrong one is the most expensive mistake a first-time buyer can make. The decision comes down to one practical question: are you processing raw bunches on site, or do you already work with sterilized fruit?

Simple Type Palm Oil Pressing Line

The simple type is a compact, semi-automatic line covering the essential steps of palm oil extraction: a palm fruit threshing machine, a double-screw palm oil press, a plate and frame filter, and an optional vibrating screen.

The threshing machine separates the palm fruits from the bunches mechanically, feeding clean fruit to the press while the empty bunches discharge at the opposite end for collection. The double-screw palm oil press is the heart of the line, applying controlled hydraulic pressure across two screw stages to extract crude oil while protecting the kernels from breakage. Downstream, the plate and frame filter polishes the crude oil through multiple layers of filter cloth to produce clear, marketable oil.

Adding the vibrating screen between press and filter is worthwhile even on a compact line. It catches larger fibre and shell fragments ahead of the filter cloth, which means fewer clogs, shorter cleaning cycles and a longer life for your filter elements.

This configuration suits producers who are working with already-treated fruit, or who have sterilization handled separately. It delivers the core extraction and filtration functions at the lowest entry investment of anything we build, making the simple type palm oil pressing line the most economical starting point.

Complete Palm Oil Pressing Line

The complete palm oil pressing line is the full plant, built to run from raw harvested bunches straight through to storable crude oil — and built to arrive ready to work. The whole plant ships as three frames that load into three containers, and once they are on site, connecting pipework and wiring is all it takes to start production. No specialist installation team, no large factory building, no months of commissioning.

Frame one – Sterilization

A hot water tank and three sterilization tanks form this section. The hot water tank supplies both hot water and steam, burning firewood or other biomass directly beneath it. This removes the steam boiler from the equipment list and lowers the plant cost. Electric hoists above the tanks move loaded fruit cages in and out, reducing manual handling. The steam cycle softens the fruit and lowers free fatty acid content, which directly affects the quality of the oil you sell.

Frame two – Threshing and pressing

A drum threshing machine with a threshing rate of up to 98% feeds two double-screw presses mounted in series. The first press does preliminary crushing; the second performs the main pressing pass. Empty fruit bunches leave the opposite end of the drum and become fuel for the hot water tank in frame one. The line largely fuels itself from its own residue, which has a direct effect on the cost per tonne of oil.

Frame three – Filtration and drying

Crude oil moves through a clarification tank that settles out sand and heavy sediment, a rotary vibrating screen that removes suspended fibre, and a plate filter that catches fine particles. A vacuum drying system then brings the moisture down, extending storage life and giving you a stable raw material for refining or bottling.

This is the configuration we recommend for a first commercial palm oil operation in a region where fruit arrives from the field and must be processed on site — West Africa, Southeast Asia, and similar growing areas.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q

Is the empty fruit bunch produced by a palm oil pressing line useful after processing?

A

Yes. In Glory Oiltech's complete 1 TPH configuration, empty fruit bunches discharged from the thresher can be collected and used as biomass fuel for the hot-water tank.

Q

Can a 1 TPH palm oil pressing line operate efficiently if fresh fruit supply is irregular?

A

It can, but the operating schedule should match the available fruit supply. Before purchasing, estimate the average daily FFB volume, peak-season supply, collection distance and expected downtime. A line rated at 1 tonne per hour does not need to run 24 hours every day; however, insufficient fruit supply can leave equipment underused and increase the cost per tonne of oil produced.

Q

What should I check before buying a 1 TPH palm oil pressing line?

A

Confirm four things before comparing quotations: whether the quoted capacity refers to fresh fruit bunches or processed palm fruits; whether sterilization is included; which clarification, filtration and drying stages are supplied; and what utilities, installation work and auxiliary equipment are required on site. These checks help prevent a low initial quotation from turning into unexpected additional investment.

Q

What information should I prepare to get an accurate quotation for a 1 TPH palm oil processing project?

A

Prepare your location, available FFB supply per day, expected operating hours, current fruit-handling or sterilization facilities, fuel and electricity availability, and required final oil condition. Photos or a simple layout of the proposed site are also useful. With these details, Glory Oiltech can assess the suitable configuration and identify the main equipment and site requirements before preparing a project proposal.

Start Your 1 TPH Palm Oil Pressing Project With Glory Oiltech

We supply both configurations described above — the compact simple type for operators working with treated fruit, and the complete palm oil pressing line for operators processing raw bunches on site — and we size the machine against your real fruit intake and operating schedule rather than a nominal capacity.

This is the project behind the 1 TPH complete palm oil pressing line we built for a small producer in Indonesia, which went into commissioning in March 2026 and has run stably since.
