Where is palm oil made from?

Palm oil is a vegetable oil, extracted from the seeds of the palm trees. The palm oil is the world's second largest edible vegetable oil, only ranking after soybean oil.
Where is palm oil made from? They are extracting from the palm fruit. At present, there are about 20countries produce palm oil in the world. Malaysia and Indonesia is two largest palm oil producing countries in the world.
 There are several steps of making palm oil:

  1. Collecting the ripe fresh cluster from the orchard (The earth's equator about 15 latitude zone from North to South, which is abundant in palm fruit).And then, the fresh palm fruit are airtight sterilized in sterilizer, injecting direct steam to heat 60mins. The purpose is to prevent enzymes broken down, avoiding FFA content in oil further increase.
  2. After sterilizing, separating the palm fruit from the fresh fruit bunch, the palm fruit are the mainly products which we are dealing with. The purpose of crashing is used to separate the pulp and crush the palm pulp. At the same time, the steam is used to cook the palm fruit and broke the cell of pulp.
  3. After crashing, sending the palm fruit into the screw press. Then we get the crude oil. 
  4. Because the crude palm oil contain lots of colloid, FFA, Natural pigment, so the palm oil should be clarifying before eating.
  5. Palm oil refinery processes are divided into 4 steps, degumming and de-acidification, de-colorization, deodorization and cooling filtration.
  6. The palm oil can sold to the wholesalers directly after refining, or flowing into the local market after packing.
